ChopChap2-Unions

By attaching one object to another, we create a union. Strong and redundant unions are the key to choppification.

There are a few ways to go about joining things to one another, here's a list. Bubblegum did not make the cut for inclusion on the list. There are many worthy fastening techniques which are not listed due to time constraints.

tape
Quick, dirty (leaves tape goo-mess up your paint to come), but sometimes necessary for assembly of some hardware somewhere else, ie, you're stacking monster footpegs.
bolts through holes
Shiny, precision-fitting, cheap clean fun. Make footpegs. Get spendy on those 60¢ barrel connectors. The Anti-Impaler Corrolary¹ can be defeated for an extensive period with a little bolt through hole, and staved off with rigorous weldage.
welding
Agents of Bicycle Satan have worked to force welding into Dead Baby's quiver of technologies. Makes a whole hell of a lot more possible, sacrificing only simple disassembly.

In combination with welding and a pair of boltsthruholes, sometimes the only possible solution to the Impaler Dilemma².
impact via BFH
Undeniably the most rip-roaring fun way to create unions, insert pipe and bang like hell. Sometimes produces press-fits lasting years, which is sometimes too long. No disassembly, haha-ha.Use the vice, use a 2x4, don't bang threads, and go to town. Relieve all tension.

¹Anti-Impaler Corrolary See the Dilemma, below, and realize the corrolary kind of a comical: you fall to your feet, a-standing, and the tallbike goes skittering down the street, a flapping like a metal tubing Pacman, striking fear in those it attacks. He-he. Is most likely limpable back, tallbikes rarely fail too far away.

²Impaler Dilemma Please avoid construction with a possible failure mode of pipe through chest, eye, sinus, head, groin, limb, throat, rectum, genitals, etc. Dead Baby and its affiliates, real and imagined, take no crap whatsoever if you heed not this warning.
